Micropia is the only museum of it’s kind in the world displaying microbes. I was instantly taken back to my microbiology degree and could appreciate the vast array of microscopes set ups.
There were also some beautiful displays of glass viruses.
You could also look inside the microbiology lab which took me back to my previous jobs and uni days!
ARTIS Amsterdam Zoo
Next door to Micropia is the Royal Artis Zoo. Although I do not like to see animals in captivity, I was impressed by the diversity of animals which could be found here.
